LEARDERSHIP TEAM

Letter from the Leadership Team
Esteemed delegates, guests, and MUN directors.
On behalf of the SPIMUN team, it is with immense pride that we welcome you to St. Peter's International Model United Nations 2025! SPIMUN's journey began four years ago, when our former secretary generals, Clarissa and Sérgio, designed a conference aimed at promoting creativity and innovation while respecting the MUN tradition.
At SPIMUN, we seek to offer a varied perspective on MUN through our several committees, such as the Press Corps, Junior Committee, Senior Committee, and the Security Council. These committees serve to create an environment where students can grow out of their comfort zones and develop their communication and critical thinking skills, while also developing an interest in global relations. Ultimately, MUN serves to allow young and dedicated students to voice their opinions and debate their concerns regarding our globalized world while being exposed to the perspectives of different nations.
To ensure the success of such an elaborate conference, tailored to the specific needs of our delegates, the SPIMUN team has been carefully handpicked from the best of what St. Peter’s has to offer. Each of our members has a crucial role in the development of SPIMUN 2025, with our collective goal of making this conference as interesting, enjoyable, and as productive as possible.
Our team is divided into three sectors; Marketing, Logistics, and Secretariat.
In marketing, we have Beatriz S. as Head, and Monica as Vice-Head. Together, they work to bring you, in a presentable manner, the information you need for SPIMUN, as well as the designs of our conference merchandise. Furthermore, they are responsible for providing you with interactive social media pages, such as our instagram page @spimun.conference, as well as SPIMUN’s website. Aiding additionally in our marketing department are Beatriz V. as Head of Fundraising, ensuring we have sufficient funds to set up the conference we so envision, and Noemi as Head of Staff, who will carefully organize and assemble our staff team during the days of the conference.
In logistics, we have Diana as Head and Rodrigo as Vice-Head. Together, they tackle the most complicated of operational tasks, ensuring the smooth running of the conference. A significant element of our Logistics team is our Head of IT, Mingzhou, who has curated an advanced program utilized for debate and communication purposes for delegates during the conference.
Our secretariat is composed of our Deputy-Secretary Generals, Leonor and Lucas, who have long been talented members of the St. Peter’s MUN community, previously chairing and participating in SPIMUN conferences, making them the most suitable individuals to support in organizing and improving this year’s edition. I, Mafalda, am the last member of the secretariat as Secretary-General, being responsible for overseeing the overall organization, communications, and ultimate result of the SPIMUN conference. With my accumulated experience in MUN and in the Leadership team, I aim to solidify SPIMUN 2025 as an unforgettable, staggering conference which all delegates are able to take something away from.
After last year's success, I am certain that SPIMUN will be the conference for you, not only because of the opportunity to further delve into the world of debate but also to enjoy meeting new students from different schools. Additionally, we have the perfect team dedicated to make this the best SPIMUN edition yet and the most optimal opportunity for you delegates to develop your career in MUN.
If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to email me at mafalda.dias.4087@edu.stpeters.pt
I look forward to seeing you all in March.
